This small area is set aside for the beginning cross-country skier to practice or for kids to play. The marked trail is actually loop roads for the Chapman Creek Campground. The roads are nearly flat with limited opportunities to venture off the road.

DESCRIPTION:

The campground lies within the North Yuba OSV Restricted Area. Snow camping is permitted.

Continuing east up Highway 49 another 3.5 miles, above the Chapman Creek Campground is the popular Yuba Pass Sno-Park that allows beginning skiers to graduate and tackle slightly more difficult roads leading out of the Park.

Drive east toward Yuba Gap and Sierraville for 3.5 miles above Bassetts on Highway 49.
