DIRECTIONS:

To White Rock Lake via Pacific Crest Trail

Topographic Maps: Norden, Independence Lake, Webber Peak. Follow the Pacific Crest Trail north from Donner Pass 12 miles or south from Meadow Lake Road (E) 5 miles. Then a signed connecting trail from the Pacific Crest Trail near White Rock Creek branches upstream to the lake. From the dam at the lake, the trail to Mount Lola crosses around the Lake and climbs the mountain. Most campers drive in from the north via Meadow Lake Road (see Grouse Lakes and Overview Map). After this good road crosses the Sierra Crest and Pacific Crest Trail (E), a rough 5-mile road more suitable for OHVs branches to left (east) to White Rock.

Difficulty: Moderate Time: 8 hours

This is just a connecting trail after a long hike on the PCT. It's easier to just drive to the lake.
