This handy shortcut connects betwee Wades and Jamison Lakes and saves having to go back to the Jamison Creek Trail and drop down. The key though is to drop down the trail from Wades Lake to Jamison Lake. Climbing the trail is certainly possible but not nearly as easy. The trail drops through some interesting cliffs and is a pleasant, little shortcut.

The trail takes off of the access trail into Wades Lake only about a hundred or so feet below the outlet to the lake. It was not well signed in 2002 so keep an eye open for the obvious trail.
At the bottom the connection trail intersects with the trail to Jamison and Rock Lakes about 1/4 mile west, before reaching Jamison Lake.
Pleasant shortcut between Wades and Jamison Lakes. The real hike is the Jamison Creek Trail to here.
