DESCRIPTION:

Trail includes viewing platform over a small pond and winds through dense forest with informational signs discussing their interrelationships. First part of trail is along a logging road.

DIRECTIONS:

To Pierce Creek Interpretive Trail

Topographic Map: Cisco Grove.
Continue beyond Indian Springs Campground, the South Yuba River Bridge, and the end of the pavement. Follow logging road and signs to a parking area 0.2 mile above where the road is blocked to all but OHVs. Unless you are using an OHV, the walk steeply downhill from the parking area to trailhead is 0.5 mile.


ACTIVITIES:

Hiking - Dayhikes (Rating: Good)

Difficulty: Easy Time: 1 hour

Great nature hike, but poor access unless have 4WD. Or add in the downhill and it becomes too much for littler kids.
