Park Access Trail

Gung-ho exercise fans can use this trail to link a couple of more popular trails within the Auburn State Recreation Area lying below Auburn’s backyard. Across the highway from the Park Headquarters, the trail drops rapidly below Highway 49 down to the WST tracking above the North Fork of the American River. This link is a good connecting trail from the Manzanita Trail above the Headquarters buildings down to the WST a short ways above the historic and photogenic Quarry Bridge.
