Little Bald Mountain Loop Trail

DESCRIPTION:

No motorized vehicles. This trail was built in 2001 to capture million dollar views of Duncan Canyon, Granite Chief Wilderness, and the Crystal Range. After the Star Fire in 2001, Duncan Canyon has changed -- now views might only be worth $999,000. Ultimately, fire is Mother Nature’s way, and over time the forest renewal will be fascinating to watch. The loop trail links to an easy ¼ mile, cross-county spur to Duncan Look Out. On the southeast corner of the loop it links with the Western States Trail for the return uphill to the campground.
