Jones Bar Trail
DESCRIPTION:
Year-round trail accessing the river and another popular swimming hole. Steep drop, which seems steeper coming out. Option: continue downriver on Jones Bar Road following uphill until meeting the South Yuba Independence Trail at 2.5 miles (elevation 1440’). Return east via this super easy trail.

Topographic Maps: Nevada City, French Corral. 6 miles north of Nevada City via Highway 49 at Independence Trail Parking. Hike west on Independence Trail; after 0.2 mile Jones Bar Trail drops (right).
