Topographic map: Norden. Although this trail can be accessed from the eastbound I-80 Rest Area, longer, unattended parking is not permitted in the Rest Area. In order to enjoy the interpretive trail in its own right, the trail can also be accessed by the Donner Summit Trailhead. From the trailhead, follow signs east towards the Pacific Crest Trail (5-minute walk). The Interpretive Trail intersection is signed and can be done in a loop in either direction.
Nice stroll and nice place to take kids, just to short to be thought of as a "hike."
