Eureka Lake & Peak Loop
DESCRIPTION:
The lower, North Eureka Peak at 7286' offers better views than hulking, round-shouldered -- albeit taller -- Eureka Peak (south) at 7447'. Views of Eureka Lake plus Lassen Peak, and nearby valleys and mountains are often framed between cleft rocks jutting upward. Varied rock hues reflect the geologic turmoil that formed this area. Eureka Lake offers rainbow plus Kamloop Junction variety fishing (stocked 2000).

DIRECTIONS:
To Eureka Lake & Peak Loop
Topographic Maps: Johnsville, Gold Lake. Within the State Park follow signs through Johnsville and by Plumas Eureka Ski Bowl. From there, follow rocky and dirt road and park at Eureka Lake.
