Cisco Grove Gould Park

South Yuba River meanders through the small Placer County park developed in 2006. Paved parking, vault toilets, picnic tables. But the attraction is the dense grove of cottonwoods.

...when the leaves have turned brilliant yellows, the area offers excellent, intimate photographic opportunities.

...easy to stroll through the trees and cross the bridge to visit both sides of the river.

DESCRIPTION:

DIRECTIONS:

ACTIVITIES:

Hiking - Dayhikes (Rating: Best)

Difficulty: Easy Time: A couple hours or with picnic lunch a nice half-day.

This area offers strolls through the cottonwood grove and play opportunities along the river that are limited only by their imaginations. For small children, the “hikes” become big adventures.

Fishing (Rating: Good)

Great access and upstream enough that waters are cold and free of trash fish.
