DIRECTIONS:

To Richardson Lake

It and the Ludlum Sierra Club Hut can be reached via a 4-wheel drive road off the Rubicon OHV (Off-highway vehicle) route or what is locally known as the McKenney Creek 4-wheel drive route. The PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) also skirts by the lake on a less than glamorous segment between the Desolation Wilderness and Barker Pass and Granite Chief Wilderness. See Granite Chief Wilderness Map (but the lake itself lies just to the south of the map area).
