Located in forested basin. Fishing for rainbow in Lower Lola Montez Lake is relatively good (stocked in 2000), but it is known for 10"-15" Brookies that can be caught best in the fall.

It is a moderately difficult scramble via user trails to Upper Lola Montez Lake, but then you can drive practically to that lake. Trail access is via the Lower Lola Montez Lake Trail. See Donner Summit Map.
