Offers relative solitude above the quiet Plumas-Eureka State Park -- especially if you bushwhack following fishing trails along the west side of the lake to its southern end. The west shoreline offers better bank fishing than does the eastshore. And the westshore is much easier to get to. Much easier, unless you discover the secret user trails that drop south around some wet potholes off the Rock Lake Trail. The east shore is too brushy for fishing, but there is a camping site that’ll give you privacy.
