DESCRIPTION:

This trek will start in scenic Loney Meadows, pass by an historic dairy barn, and climb the north face of Bowman Mt to the summit for a 360-degree view. This descent is brushy, steep, on loose talus and care must be taken here! Next we will cross the rocky shelf between Upper and Lower Rock Lakes and climb to the top of a second mountain called“Snort Hill” where there are views of the remainder of this trek and the many lakes in this region.

Down the south face of Snort Hill and along the shelf between Penner and Clubertson Lakes, over rocks and through some brush climbing and descending until the climb to the windy summit of Fall Creek Mt for another 360-degree view,

Next it is down the west face of the mountain through a clear-cut, across the dam at Lower Lindsey Lake and along a gravel road back to our starting point.

Boots, hats, plenty of water and a reasonable amount of conditioning and agility are required. Very little time will be spent on any trail and some of the country is quite rough.
