Bring drinking water. Purification of lake water is not recommended due to the oil and gasoline contaminants. Purification of the South Yuba River water before it runs into the lake would be more desirable.

Although the Point Defiance Trail goes by this campground and is an easy hike, most campers boat in from Englebright Lake.
