The group campground can be reserved for parties of twenty-five persons or less; fees. Only a few large picnic tables available. Same with fire grills. Designed for small groups to use the few developments. Remote or not, this beautiful site is one of the most popular opportunities available. Reservations required: 1-877-444-6777. Summer months often booked for one year ahead. The Nevada Irrigation District reservoir rests serenely in rugged, rocky basin where the scenery is usually better than the fishing. And some days the fishing can be excellent. The earlier into the season the better. If you can find a day with calm winds, both flatwater paddling and fishing pick up. See Faucherie Lake. No trails begin here but the Grouse Ridge Trail can be accessed from the nearby Sawmill Lake Trailhead. Weil Lake can be reached via a challenging upstream scramble from here.
