Soda Springs County Road:

There is soul-stiring scenery everywhere; thankfully, not a fast food joint anywhere. Pack a lunch. And a detailed map such as the Tahoe National Forest Recreation Map.

The county road continues west and joins the Foresthill Divide Road east of Robinsons Flat (see North Fork American River Area map). High clearance vehicles are recommended if you want to continue over this latter section. It does make a nice Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) style drive and will take you into Foresthill.
