Rattlesnake Road:

Fordyce Creek and even Fordyce Reservoir are worthy attractions in their own right. And they buffer the south side of Grouse Ridge from several 4-wheel drive roads that pick their way through granite slabs.

Rattlesnake Road provides popular access routes for off-highway vehicles (OHV) around Sterling Lake northeast toward Mossy Pond and Upper Lola Montez Lake (see Tahoe National Forest Recreation Map or Donner Summit Map).
