This rocky notch where the small parking area lies is the location of the original Emigrant Trail passage over the Crest. Talk about a rough road! Take time to check out the original wagon “road.” I can scarcely believe they even got their stock up the route, let alone a wagon.

Mount Judah is moderately easy; Tinkers Knob somewhat more difficult due to the distance involved. Hustle and you could do both in one day. But why?
