Spenceville Wildlife Area
The Spenceville Wildlife and Recreation Area is quite varied in it's terrain and flora and fauna. All easily accessed by short day hikes.

Grayhorse Valley Trailhead:
This a long, slow drive. No wonder few people other than hunters use this route. But there is a pretty, little Wilderness waiting at the end of the drive and then a short hike.
In fact the Grayhorse Valley and Shanks Cove Trailhead offers quick hiking or equestrian access into some of the most remote and best corners of Granite Chief.
