Gray Eagle Lodge Trailhead:

Gray Eagle Lodge is noted for it’s comfortable, upbeat, and within the neighboring Lakes Basin, comparatively modern amenities.

The trailhead is located about a quarter-mile before you get to resort grounds and off to the north side of the paved road into the lodge.

Although several trail options lead to Smith Lake and Mount Elwell, this trailhead provides the closest access to both.
