Gold Lake Lodge Trailhead:

Gold Lake Lodge is an historic lodge with warm hospitality. It''s the original and none have duplicated its rustic charm.

Several lakes sit peacefully above the Lodge: Big Bear Lake the most popular – and closest. It’s very family or senior friendly. But don’t stop with the papa, visit Little Bear Lake and smaller still, Cub Lake.

But the loop including Round Lake and Silver Lake makes for an invigorating romp and only mopderately difficult day hike that is one of the best all around opportunities for families with older kids or hearty seniors. And take your fishing pole. All offer great lake fishing and by August Big Bear and Silver are popular swimming holes for the brave.
