Old Highway 40 & Eagle Lakes Road:

Known more as the base and assembly area for the famed “Sierra Trek,” an annual, organized-event 4-wheel drive odyssey on the Fordyce Creek OHV Route, this area also offers some other pleasant diversions.

Mountain bikes like the Eagle Lakes route and even occasional hikers, but once you get off the paved segment of Old Highway 40 this is 4WD country.
